Chloe Love suffered bite marks and needed five stitches to her nose and lip, after the attack at Tesco’s Park Farm supermarket, in Ashford, Kent.
Police said the dog which bit her was thought to be a five-year-old German Shepherd-Labrador cross.
A man and a security guard were also bitten outside the store on 20 April.
‘Blanket ban’
Chloe’s father, Andy Love, said: “People don’t need to take their animals shopping with them.
“I simply don’t think it’s necessary that dogs should be allowed to be tied up outside of anywhere [and left] unattended.
“I would basically like to see a nigh-on blanket ban on it.”
Chloe was with a child minder when she was bitten.
