The Pet Station Country Club Expands with Region’s Newest Dog Splash Park

The Pet Station Country Club, a locally owned leader in pet boarding, training, daycare, and grooming, today announced its third and largest location yet. The locally owned business will break ground on April 10 at 14310 Old Henry Road, and the 25,000-square-foot state-of-the-art pet resort is expected to open by the end of the year.
This expansion follows a milestone year for the company, which was recently honored with the 2024 Pet Care Business Excellence Award from the International Boarding & Pet Services Association (IBPSA), recognizing its commitment to top-tier services and amenities.
As Louisville’s premier pet care provider, The Pet Station Country Club continues to set the standard for pet hospitality. The Old Henry location will include a state of the art outdoor splash park, with 15 unique, interactive features such as gentle jets, fountains, misting stations, and more that will surely have tails wagging. The splash park will feature the latest in filtration, hygienic protections, and non-slip surfaces, ensuring a safe and clean experience for pets.
The new location will also feature three spacious turf areas, totaling 15,000 square feet, including a 3,500 square-foot-indoor dog park complete with custom-built agility equipment, climate-controlled conditions for year-round use and K9Grass designed for canine comfort and enhanced with antimicrobial protection. When weather permits, dogs can seamlessly transition between the indoor park and outdoor play yards. Additionally, a ½-mile nature trail will offer scenic walks for pets and caregivers alike.
Since opening its first location at 4800 Murphy Lane in 2017, The Pet Station Country Club has continued to grow to meet the demand for high-quality pet care with a second location at 7924 Vine Crest Avenue in Lyndon in 2021.
Beyond boarding and play, The Pet Station Country Club elevates training with expert-led programs designed to foster well-behaved, confident dogs. Certified trainers and behavioral specialists tailor programs to each pet’s unique needs.
One standout offering is the Board and Train Program, featuring immersive three- and four-week courses where dogs stay on-site for personalized, consistent training. Certified trainers do the work to instill essential skills and behaviors, making it the most efficient way to achieve a well-mannered, well-trained dog. Owners also receive guidance to reinforce and maintain their dog’s progress at home.
The team also offers comprehensive grooming services to ensure pets not only act their best but look their best too. The Pet Station Country Club’s groomer training partnership with Nash Academy has successfully graduated 12 individuals and will continue to provide educational opportunities for staff to build an in-demand skill that leads to a lifelong career in the growing pet industry.
