As the shelter explained in their post, the Pit Bulls' owner couldn't care for them anymore. So they surrendered the pups to Jersey Pit Rescue.
"They are about 12 weeks old and tiny little things," the shelter explained. "[They are] Pitties likely mixed with other small breeds.
We didn't even mention the best part – their names! The three Pit Bulls are named after Star Hollow's finest citizens; Lorelai, Rory, and Dean!
The comments section was already so in love with the Pit Bull pups. "I didn’t know you guys rescued bats too!" joked one commenter. "Omg! These babies are adorable!!" someone else gushed. "So stinking cute!!! It’s the ears for me," praised another commenter. "Omg their names! Their faces!!" one person exclaimed.
Pit Bulls have a bad reputation, but much of that is myth. Because of inhumane practices, like dog fighting, some people still believe these dogs are violent. But anyone who's owned a Pit Bull will tell you that's not true. Pit Bulls are no more aggressive than any other dog. You could even say that some Pits are cuddle-bugs.
Pit Bulls can be incredible family dogs. They get along with kids really well. Pit Bulls used to have the reputation of being "nanny dogs" because of their gentle and protective nature with kids. Of course, with any large, muscular dogs you want to be mindful of leaving them unattended with small children, as they can sometimes knock little ones down.
The key to raising a happy and healthy Pittie is socializing them early. Start them young and they'll be good with humans and other dogs alike.
If you want to adopt one of these Pittie pups specifically, head to the Jersey Pit Rescue website. You don't need to go to Chilton to see that any of these Pittie siblings would make the perfect pet.
