The People First Credit Union in Portlaoise

Further charges could be brought against a man who is accused of burgling a dog grooming business and Portlaoise Credit Union.
Brian Flynn (40) of Cappabeg, Rosenallis is accused of burgling Beauty-Fur Dog Grooming at 6 Peppers Lane and stealing €260 on October 28, 2024. On the same date it is alleged he burgled Portlaoise Credit Union.
The defendant appeared before Portlaoise District Court via videolink.
Garda Sergeant JJ Kirby said the DPP had directed that the case be dealt with on indictment.
Judge Susan Fay noted there may be further charges in the case.
She adjourned the case to Portlaoise District Court on January 27.
