Health unit investigating dog biting incident – cknxnewstoday.ca

Grey Bruce Public Health is hoping to identify a dog that was involved in a recent biting incident.
On January 27 sometime between 2-4 p.m., a teenager was bitten by a dog that’s described as being or appearing similar to a German shepherd.
The biting incident happened on the west side of 2nd Avenue East, between 6th and 7th streets, as the teen met the owner walking the dog on a leash on the narrow, snowy sidewalk.
The owner was a young woman, roughly 18-22-years-olds and about 5’8″ tall.
Public Health needs to confirm the dog is not infectious with rabies, so the victim of the bite can avoid post-exposure rabies treatment.
