Paws in Paradise. 2025 Best of Mount Pleasant.
Paws in Paradise, established in 2012 by Brittany Marrazzo, is a unique dog grooming and daycare business born from a deep love for dogs and a passion for quality care. Marrazzo, a former teacher, initially worked at a doggie daycare during weekends and summers. Her growing love for animals led her to pursue grooming and eventually open her own business, leaving her teaching career behind. Within a year and a half, Paws in Paradise outgrew its original space, prompting a move to a larger facility.
The business was inspired by Marrazzo’s own dog, Beauty, who she didn’t want to leave at home while she worked. That beloved pet is now featured in the company’s logo, a testament to the deep bond Marrazzo shares with her animals. Paws in Paradise stands out because of its emphasis on creating a fun, engaging environment for dogs, offering various activities including a pool for them to enjoy.
A key part of the business’ success lies in its dedicated employees, many of whom have been with the company for years. Marrazzo added that she couldn’t do it without them. These long-term staff members are exceptional at fostering strong relationships with both dogs and their owners. Paws in Paradise currently has a six-month waitlist, prioritizing quality care over quantity. Marrazzo and her team ensure that each dog receives the individual attention they deserve, never wanting the experience to be overwhelming for the pets in their care. “I like to know each and every dog. That’s important to me,” said Marrazzo. If you’re looking for a place for your pooch, Paws in Paradise is your answer.
