The franchise location will provide dog grooming and bakery services, as well as treats for their owners.
A bakery that caters to both humans and their four-legged companions is slated to open soon in Vestavia Hills.
Woof Gang Bakery and Grooming, which is based in Florida and has around 300 locations in 18 states, will open a franchise location at 3040 Healthy Way in Patchwork Farms.
The location will provide baked treats for both dogs and their owners and boutique pet grooming services in a 1,200-square-foot space near Smoothie King.
Woof Gang has one other location in the state in Dothan. Franchise owners Keisha and H. Phillips said they chose Vestavia Hills because of its neighborhood community atmosphere.
“This area has such a special feel to it,” Keisha Phillips said. “It reminds me so much of home and the kind of place where pets and their families can feel truly cared for.”
Crawford Square Real Estate Advisors Leasing Associate Jacob Williamson assisted in the deal.
This shopping center has seen other recent activity with new businesses opening in the area.
New Day Car Wash opened in January at 4752 Cahaba River Road near Patchwork Farms. The Birmingham-based company offers four different wash packages: basic, classic, deluxe and signature. A crevasse and claw vacuum hose are provided at every vacuum bay along with compressed air, all-purpose cleaner, towels and multiple types of mat washes.
In addition, Florida-based Sage Dental opened two offices in the Birmingham metro area, one at the Vestavia destination.
The dental service organization opened an office at 3066 Healthy Way and 616 Gayle Street in Gardendale in August. The new locations are the company’s first in Alabama.
