FARGO — Muddy Paws, a south Fargo pet grooming business, has closed.
The business said in a Facebook post that it closed its doors for good on Jan. 31.

The post reads in part: “It has been a wonderful nearly four years of owning the business and we will all be forever grateful for our time here with your amazing pets! Thank you once again!”
The business opened in June of 2017 at 3985 56th St. S.
A post on the shop’s Facebook page in June of 2021 indicated the business had been sold to a new owner.
Attempts to reach the latest operators of the business for comment were not successful.
However, the Facebook post announcing the closing stated: “We want to issue a sincere and grateful THANK YOU to all of our wonderful and beautiful clients who have supported us throughout the years. We will miss seeing you at Muddy Paws.”
According to Forum archives, Muddy Paws was designed to be a grooming business for all pets, though most of its clientele were of the canine persuasion.
The business offered private grooming rooms with only one table per room, meaning dogs had a more solitary experience and weren’t in a grooming room with other canines.
