A dog grooming boutique in Huntingdonshire is in the running for an award – despite only being open for half a year.
The Cambridge Dog Boutique, which is based in Brampton, opened its doors in summer 2024.
Less than six months later, the company – which was founded by local resident Nina Strangeways – could be crowned ‘dog groomer of the year 2025’ at The Animal Star Awards.
Nina, who has four cocker spaniels, said: “This is a huge honour and reflects what we have achieved so far thanks to hard work and dedication.”

She added that the grooming requirements of her own dogs are what inspired the launch of her business.
“The Cambridge Dog Boutique’s concept is based on what we would want for our own pets, providing the best services for our canine clients,” said Nina.
“We focus on holistic dog grooming – engaging both the physical and emotional needs of all our canine clients in a loving, tranquil, and stress-free environment.
“The Cambridge Dog Boutique is a pleasant surprise for both the dogs and their owners.”
