Bengaluru Dog Lover Spends Rs 50 Crore On Rare Wolf-Caucasian Shepherd Hybrid – News18

A Bengaluru-based dog enthusiast has made headlines by spending a staggering Rs 50 crore on a rare “wolfdog" named Cadabomb Okami. This unique canine is a cross between a wolf and a Caucasian Shepherd and is believed to be the first of its kind. It is also considered one of the most expensive dogs in the world.
According to The Sun, the new owner, S Sathish, is a well-known dog breeder from Bengaluru. At 51 years old, he has built a reputation in the dog breeding community and owns more than 150 different breeds. He stopped breeding dogs ten years ago but now makes good money by showing his rare pets at events.
Okami, the latest addition to his collection, was bred in the US and sold through a broker in India in February. Despite being only eight months old, the pup already weighs a massive 75 kg and stands at 30 inches tall.
Sathish describes Okami as “an extremely rare breed of dog" that “looks exactly like a wolf."
“This breed has not been sold in the world before," he told The Sun.
Caucasian Shepherds, one of Okami’s parent breeds, are known for their strength and protective instincts. These dogs are native to colder regions like Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and parts of Russia. They are often used as guard dogs to protect livestock from predators like wolves.
Sathish has been proudly parading Okami at high-profile events across Karnataka including film premieres. He claimed that his canines have attracted huge crowds and people are eager to take selfies with them.
He charges that he charges anywhere between £2,200 (approximately Rs 2.45 lakh) for a 30-minute appearance to £9,000 (over Rs 10 lakh) for five hours.
“My dog and I get more attention than an actor at a movie screening, we both are crowd-pullers," Sathish said.

Sathish also owns a rare Chow Chow that looks like a Qinling panda, a red and white bear species from China. He bought this dog for over £2.5 million (Rs 28 crore) last year.
All his dogs live at Cadabom’s Kennels, a seven-acre farm with plenty of space for them to move around. Each dog has its own 20ft by 20ft area and the entire property is secured with a 10ft-high wall and round-the-clock CCTV to keep them safe.

“There is enough space for them to walk and run. There are six people to look after them. They don’t need air conditioner as the weather in the city is cool but they are well taken care of," he said.
Sathish is also particular about his dogs’ diet. He avoids packed dog food as he claims that it contains steroids that reduce their lifespan. Instead, he feeds them raw food. He revealed that Okami consumes three kilograms of raw chicken meat every day.
