AUSTIN, Texas — Austin was ranked number four on a LawnStarter list of the best cities for dog lovers.
LawnStarter compared the 200 biggest U.S. cities and chose the best based on 28 factors, including access to pet-friendly housing and businesses, suitability for dog walking and affordability of canine services.

According to the report, southern and southwestern cities performed well. Among the 10 cities with the highest share of dog-friendly rental properties, eight are in Texas.
