Doggy Styling Grooming is located at 205 W. Main St., Battle Creek. The following is a Q&A with owner Jessie Carter.
Owners/operators and their background: Jessie Carter is the owner and operator. Carter went to grooming school in 2005. “I have been grooming out of my home for quite a few years, purchased the building in December 2023 and opened doors in April 2024,” she said.
Business overview: Doggy Styling offers dog grooming of all sizes of dog by appointment, plus walk-in nail services are available.

Hours of operation: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesday 1-7 p.m.
Why did you decide to open this business? “I decided to open my business last year when the opportunity to buy the space was offered to me,” Carter said.
What makes your business unique? “I am the only groomer in Battle Creek,” Carter said.
Is there anything you’d like potential clients or customers to know? “If people are wanting to book an appointment, they can do so through the Facebook page by clicking on the ‘contact us’ and creating a profile. From there, it will take you in to the booking.”
