GREENE COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) – The Greene County Sheriff’s Office said its investigating after a four-day-old baby died after being bitten by dog.
Sheriff Wesley Holt said the baby was bitten by the dog at a Greene County home and taken to Greeneville Community Hospital at around 10:30 a.m. on Monday.
The baby was then flown to UT Medical Center and died from its injuries, Holt said.
Holt said the baby has been taken to the Knoxville Regional Forensics Center for an autopsy.
