Public health officials are looking to identify a dog involved in a weekend biting incident in Woodstock.
The incident happened on Sunday at roughly 7 p.m. in front of MacKay Drive, Southwestern public health officials said in a media release.
The man was bitten while petting the dog, which was described as a husky. The male and female owners were described as being 30 to 40 years old.
Public health officials want to confirm the vaccination status of the dog to help the victim and his health-care provider determine next steps related to rabies post-exposure prophylaxis.
If you are the dog’s owner, or have information about the incident, please contact Southwestern public health at 1-800-922-0096 and ask to speak with a public health inspector.
