Dogs rescued from heater blaze at city groomers – Eastern Daily Press

Pets have been rescued from a heater fire that ripped through a dog grooming parlour in Norwich.
Crews from Sprowston, Carrow, Earlham and Aylsham were called to Best in Show Dog Grooming in Magdalen Road at 4.16pm on Thursday following reports of a flat fire.
It is believed the blaze was caused by a heater in the middle room of the property.

Owner Tomas Spaltenstein said that his own dogs were inside the building at the time of the blaze but all of them were safely rescued thanks to the effort of fire crews and neighbours.
Thomas Hedges was one of the neighbours that helped rescue the dogs (Image: Thomas Hedges) He added: “It looks terrible but it’s better than it looks. It was caused by a heater, that’s all I can say right now.”
A stop call was made at about 5.28pm by the fire service.
