Tri-Cities, WA- — RE/MAX Horizon in Richland is hosting their second annual pet food drive.
The pet food drive is in honor of co-founder Peggy Beecher's mother, Juanita Thompson, who had a love of animals.
They decided to make it an annual event after a successful drive last year, as well as wanting to continue the legacy.
This year, the donations will directly go to support Mikey's Chance, a local non-profit that saves dogs across the region.
"We're trying to continue that tradition by, yes, there are people in need, but there's a lot of our furry friends that wind up going without as well this time of year. This year, we chose Mikey's Chance. Several reasons for it, but actually they do a great job at providing adoption services for animals in need, and getting them into their forever homes so they can live a life with dignity, and as a dog lover, that is just a mission that speaks to me," said Bryan Verhei, Co-Owner of RE/MAX Horizon in Richland.
They'll be accepting sealed pet food through December 20 at their office located at 101 Wellsian Way Unit B, Richland, WA.
They are open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
