Salford Dog Grooming Salon receive recognition at the Animal Star Awards – Salford Now

DogzBody Spa win award - provided by Fran Gray
A Luxury Salford Dog Grooming Salon has received recognition for their outstanding contributions to the dog grooming industry.
The award show saw them get recognition after successfully competing against hundreds of other nominees last weekend.
The Worsley based dog salon DogzBody Spa, have been previously ranked one of the top three pet grooming salons in Salford.
The salon is made of a dedicated team of four dog groomers, who have been overwhelmed with the support and success they have recently received.
The team consists of qualified groomers Jess and Amy, and have recently been joined by Kendra, who initially volunteered at the salon through the Princes Trust scheme at the age of 16.
Kendra is now a full-time apprentice at the salon, working towards her Level Two Dog Grooming Qualification.
The salon has been specifically designed to mimic a warm and welcoming home environment, complete with cozy rugs, a television, comfortable seating and even a coffee machine.
With the goal of DogzBody Spa is to ensure that any anxiety a dog may feel when entering the premises for the first or subsequent visits is kept to a minimum.
And it seems that is the goal to create a positive and fun atmosphere that will put both the human family and dog at their ease.

This seems to be well-received, following their recent recognition of the award, owner and manager of DogzBody Spa, Fran Gray who said: “Receiving this award allows us to share our unique approach to dog grooming.
Our salon operates differently from other local businesses, emphasizing a holistic approach and working with very small numbers of dogs.
It is very special for our small salon to be recognized nationally, and we hope this will encourage more local clients to use our services.”
However, this isn’t the first time that they have been recognised for their work, also being featured in the March 2023 edition of Total Grooming Magazine.
As Fran continued: “It requires specific skills, along with a significant amount of patience, knowledge and experience—qualities that our team possesses in abundance.
“This serves as great motivation to continue offering high-quality services and makes all the hard work feel worthwhile.
Opening the salon in January 2020, just before the COVID pandemic began – the team previously had worked in a van as mobile dog groomers before adapting into one location.
And after making that decision, Fran added: “I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved at the salon over the past four years.
“Our reputation has grown within our local community, and we now have clients traveling from afar to use our services.”
And with the success of the award, she also added the possibility of future opportunities, she said: “This is the first time we have received national recognition, and I believe this will lead to opportunities for collaborating with other professionals and attracting media interest.

“I take great pride in my team and their commitment to learning, adapting, and evolving to better meet the needs of the dogs in our care.
“They truly deserve this recognition for their hard work.”
She added: “This accomplishment also allows us to highlight the importance of dog grooming and how our expertise can significantly impact the lives of both the humans and canines we serve.”
The recognition has been well-received and they hope that it will provide them future growth in the city and further beyond.
DogzBody Spa can be found on the Manchester Road in Worsley – with more information about the salon can be found here.
