Police in Cumberland County are asking for help after an emaciated, wounded dog was found on the side of the road.

The dog was discovered around 3:30 a.m. Monday along Route 114 in Silver Spring Township, near the Park and Ride.
Police said the dog is in poor health. It has some open wounds and very long nails.
It looks like the dog was outside for a “long while,” according to police.
No microchip was found.
The dog was taken to an emergency vet.
