There is no greater sorrow than witnessing a helpless dog abandoned and forced to survive on its own. Sadly, this is an all-too-common reality, with neglected and mistreated dogs appearing everywhere. One man felt this anguish firsthand when he discovered a black-and-white dog lying at the entrance to his workplace. Initially, the dog was not entirely on her own; she had something that hinted at her past life. Beside her lay a bag filled with toys, a reminder of the family who had heartlessly left her behind.
It was clear to the man that the dog clung to these toys as her only comfort in a world that had suddenly become cold and unkind. Despite wanting to help, the man couldn’t take action that day, so he reached out to his friend Evelyn Flores, knowing she would do everything she could. Though Evelyn couldn’t visit immediately, she made a point to come by the very next morning.
