When the rescuers arrived, they found the dog to be shy but friendly. They knew earning his trust was the first step to helping him. One of the rescuers knelt down to the dog’s level, offering gentle pets to show him he was safe. The pup responded with a small wag of his tail, signaling that he was open to their kindness. It was now time to help him out of his hiding place.
As one of the women carefully lifted him out of the tire, she made a heartbreaking discovery. The dog’s ears had been crudely cut, likely with scissors, leaving him with significant injuries. Combined with these painful wounds and the neglect he had endured, the pup had all but given up hope. He had been waiting in the tire, accepting his fate.
